I propose for the maximum time allowed with patient and doctor to be revisited or modified to one hour so that patients have time to accurately provide their clinical story and receive a proper diagnosis.
Why is this important?
Statistics report 40% of clinicians are misdiagnosing patients, Medical Errors are the third leading cause of death in the US. A recent Johns Hopkins study claims more than 250,000 people in the U.S. die every year from medical errors. Other reports claim the numbers to be as high as 440,000.
This needs to stop: Doctors are wasting their talents on administrative work instead of creating relationships with their patients and because of this, patients feel like doctors don't care. This war needs to end between the two so we can permanently erase the third leading cause of death in the United States. #patientsneedmoretime
