Fair Taxation

We simply must completely change of system of income taxation so that it is completely fair to all. As I understand it, almost 1/2 of the american citizens pay absolutely no income taxes at all. In fact I believe there is something called an "earned income credit" which results in the government actually writing a check to some citizens. That's almost unbelievable but I think it really is true.

Big corporations and the wealthy should not be given loopholes such as mortgage interest deductions, various tax deductions, etc. In fact, nobody should be given ANY loopholes. Some consideration should be given to actually lowering income taxes on large corporations, as we all know that the corporations simply pass the higher costs along to the consumers so the consumers are actually paying for those higher taxes.

If EVERY CITIZEN pays a like percentage of their income in tax, then everyone will be paying their fair share. NOBODY should avoid taxes altogether if they are actually earning any income at all. Obviously, the wealthy will continue to be contributing, by far, the most dollars to the Treasury but it will at least be much more fair.

I really do not believe that we should be "redistributing the wealth" -- isn't that what Socialism (or even Communism) is all about?.
