FBI Help Me Find My Grandson's Killer

October, 2007 - An 18 year old man is shot and killed in cold blood in the streets of an Indianapolis, Indiana neighborhood.

February, 2012 - A 17 year old man is shot and killed while walking through his neighborhood in Sanford, Florida.

July, 2012 - A 24 year old man entered the back door of a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, and shot and killed 12 people, severely injuring 30 others.

What these three crimes have in common is they are all acts of senseless violence. The difference between them is that two received National News attention while the other received only a mention on the local News Channel. What's more glaring, is that two of the crimes were solved almost immediately, while the other is considered a "Cold Case" and to this day has not been solved. It has simply been boxed up, set aside and forgotten. Indianapolis has been riddled with corruption. This year alone, the police chief, the deputy police chief, the public safety director, and others have been implicated in corruption. The people of Indianapolis deserve better. We deserve justice!

The young man who was murdered in October, 2007 was my Grandson, Tony Curtis Drake. Tony was 18 years old when he was gunned down in the parking lot of an apartment building in Indianapolis. Tony was not a celebrity or from a family of financial means. He was a young man, struggling to find himself. More importantly, he was a very beloved member of our family who was looking forward the birth of his beautiful daughter.

I am begging you -- as a Grandmother, Mother, and as an American -- please re-open Tony Curtis Drake's investigation and re-activate the search for his killer. He deserves rest. And we, his family, deserve justice! Too many murders are committed in the Black Community in Indianapolis. It's no secret that the police pay little or no attention. I won't allow this to be the case with my Grandson. I am calling on my friends, on every American, to help me bring justice to the murder of my Grandson, Tony Curtis Drake.

"Equal Justice Under the Law" should truly mean just that. Please find the murderer of Tony Curtis Drake and give my family peace.

Why is this important?

For five years I have begged the Indianapolis police department to find the killer of my grandson Tony Curtis Drake. This year, the police chief, his deputy and the public service director have all been fired or quit. We have no one here to protect us and to bring justice for us. So I need your help. Sign my petition asking the FBI to find my grandson's killer.
