Federal Decrimilization of Marijiuana

I am writing this petition is hopes of swaying the President in his stance of upholding federal laws pertaining to Marijuana.
How is it our government supports companies that turn out highly addictive substances including Alcohol, Pain Pills, Cigarettes just to name a few. These items have been directly linked to hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. Our government gains of money off the taxation of these items.
It logically makes no sense that a plant, grown from the ground and has been documented to help with some of those conditions and thousands of others is illegal in this a free country.
We get to choose how we treat ourselves medical, physically, and mentally as long as we are not a danger to those around us.
I would ask all americans to look at all the facts and think about it. how is this logically making any sense to any educated person?
I encourage you to sign this petittion and tell the President to end the war on medical marijuana and end the Federal war on marijuana. It should be for the states to decide.
