Kevin Sabet is a political scientist who uses his position as an assistant professor at Florida State University to legitimize his use of half truths and exaggerations to maintain status quo in incarcerating Americans for cannabis use. The policies he advocates for have caused a significant disparity in damage to the Black community and threaten to keep much needed medicine from deathly ill people.. Florida State University should not financially support maintaining institutional racism nor harming sick people.
Why is this important?
His undue influence threatens to hurt millions of Floridians, specifically gravely ill and minorities... I don't think Florida Tax Dollars (through the University) should be used to forward his regressive agenda. As a Floridian the thought that he represents Florida State University makes be both sick and embarrassed.
