How to Fix Social Security
1 – Eliminate the ceiling, currently $110,000 – we pay tax on the first $110,000. There is no Social Security tax on income above $110,000.
2 – Define a floor, say $25,000, below which there is $0 tax,
3 – Change the flat / regressive structure to a progressive structure.
4 - Compel the President, Representatives in the House, Senate, Justices of the Supreme Court, and other appointed and elected government officials to buy into the Social Security program.
