Fix the Filibuster

The Democratic majority of the US Senate on the first day of the new session should change the rules governing filibusters to require actual standup and talking instead of the current blocking motions by the minority that prevent the Senate from getting necessary work done.

Why is this important?

A simple Democratic majority in the Senate has the power to change Senate rules to require an actual stand up and talk filibuster of Senate actions in place of the current "I will block" motions that allow the Rebublican minority to prevent the Senate from getting much done. This change can only be made on the first day of the new session, January 3rd, 2013. Why should we be ruled by the minority?
