Stand as one to demand a change in Florida's stand your ground law that's creating unjustified killing of blacks. This law is allowing the real criminal to basically walk free because of stereotypes and unnecessary fear of black Americans.
Why is this important?
Several states are ran under the Stand Your Ground Law allowing citizens to protect themselves on their property against criminals. However the state of Florida has shown clear abuse with multiple unjust killings under the protection of this law. Black men live with many false stereotypes that has caused other cultures to judge them and live in fear because of these stereotypes causing black men to be the most feared individual in America. However everyone deserves to live the American Dream that includes freedom of speech and justice for unjust acts. With the unnecessary killings that have taken place over the last 10 years in Florida that dream has been sadly taken away for many blacks in this state. It's time to wake up and say Enough is Enough. This issues touches me deeply because I am raising a young black king who deserves a chance at living out his dreams without living in fear because he is black male. Sign this petition and stand up as one to boycott Florida during spring break 2014. Spring Break is a very busy time for Florida and tourist bring a lot of money to this state during this season. We the American people want to see a change in Florida's Stand Your Ground Law so that innocent lives of black individuals are not unjustly taken over and over again because of fear that was created through stereotypes. An unjust law is no law at all. If we do not stand for something we will fall for anything.
