Force Ford to Buy Back all Recalled Escape PHEV Vehicles

I purchased a Ford Escape PHEV in Sept 2024. Ford recently released a recall due to safety concerns, as the vehicle could stay on fire. Repairs are expected to be available 5/18 according to Ford, assuming no delays, and are first come first serve so it’s hard telling how long some could wait. New sales have been halted, as they’re deemed unsafe, but current owners are expected to continue to drive their fire hazard vehicles. I looked into trading in, but my Escape with a 50k sticker price has taken such a depreciation hit that I would have to come out of pocket $30,000 just to trade in and feel safe driving. 

It’s my belief that Ford should do the right thing and buy back our vehicles so we feel safe going to work and transporting our families.
