In Greenville, South Carolina, we are losing precious green spaces due to overdevelopment. Pocket parks, the backbones of all of our communities, are being swallowed up at an alarming rate. Single family homes are being torn down and two, sometimes three homes are going up. Apartment complexes are in the works all over town. At our current rate of growth, the population within the city limits will double within 15-17 years. Our schools, roads and infrastructure cannot keep up with the pace of the greed.
Once the green space is paved over, it doesn't ever come back.
It starts with you. Sign the petition and make a few phone calls.
Call the mayor and your city council member(s) NOW and tell them that we will not stand for our precious parks to go the way of the dodo. Let them know that they must save Tindal Park and all other green spaces so that our communities will continue to thrive and our sons and daughters will have safe places to play and learn.
Take a stand and help us Keep the Green in Greenville!
