Our military families live at, or below, the poverty level. They have to use food stamps in order to meet their basic food needs. They shop in bargain stores for clothes. These are the people protecting our country, and it is just plain wrong.
Give them a break and stop making them pay any income tax while they are on active duty. This goes for active duty Guard and Reserves.
It's the right thing to do!
Why is this important?
People who serve in the active military should not have to pay income tax.
They pay with their lives, and there is no amount of money that this country can collect for such a sacrifice.
