Why is this important?
Huge amounts of water mixed with unregulated toxic chemicals are injected into the ground to release oil and gas. Fracking contaminates ground water, soil and air and poses serious health risks.
Fracking has triggered earth quakes and is currently done on top of the San Andreas fault line.
Fracking is unsafe for California and it's residents. It needs to be banned to protect residents, land and water supplies.
