Fracking Bills Needed and Requiring your Support in Illinois
Senator Haine and Representative Kay: Please support these important bills: SB3492, SB 3562, SB 3485, SB 3328, SB3327, SB3484, SB 3330, SB3326, SB3230, SB 3329, SB3483, SB 3386- the 12 bills which will provide the protections (for earthquake prone areas, flood plains, Mahomet aquifer, giving local control, increasing setbacks, safeguarding property owners and taxpayers, regulating radioactive flowback, empowering local control) we need for all 'fracking' operations, without exceptions, taking place in Illinois to protect taxpayers from liability for poorly regulated operations, and to protect citizens from potential calamities.
Why is this important?
This petition is to urge our local lawmakers to support twelve important bills required to regulate 'fracking' operations in Illinois. My interest stems from the fact that I live in Illinois, breathe the air, drink the water, and enjoy the natural beauty, pay taxes, and need protection from cleanup and liability if 'fracking' operations are inadequately regulated
