Free Anthony L. Massey Case#2:13VC3439 - Demand Plea Bargaining with a Lie Detector
Please STOP forcing the innocent to lie and take pleas on crimes they did not commit for a lesser sentence. Stop allowing Judges, Lawyers, and prosecutors from imposing maximum and/or consecutive sentences on individuals that reject their Plea Bargain.
Why is this important?
Anthony L. Massey has been in prison for a crime he did not commit for over 15 years, because he was un-wavering in his innocence and would not admit to the crime by accepting a plea bargain. He was a victim of a trail without appropriate due process:
- Lack of proper investigation
- Telephone records were never subpoena
- DNA test findings withheld as evidence
- Local Judge gave mis-leading instructions to the jury leading to a weapons charge
- He was accused of breaking and entering with no evidence of force entry
- Prosecution withheld a witness that would have proven Anthony Massey's innocents with a viable alibi
- Witnesses/character witnesses were never called to trial
- Police submitted a tainted report that was typed by a second officer.
- Police interrogation videotaped interview went missing
- Anthony was denied access to a lawyer and was immediately forced to consider a plea for lesser time as an intimidation tactic
- The child identified in the case was said to be slapped by Anthony Massey who has two sons of his own and don't believe in spankings. After throwing out the child endangerment charge because the child exhibited years of abuse, incidentally child protection services was never called.
Please sign this petition to Free Anthony L. Massey of all charges and make PLEA BARGAINING A FEDERAL OFFENSE without the support of a lie detector device. We have too many innocent Americans in jail and prison for crimes they did not commit but agreed to take a plea for a lesser sentence. We would also like all cases of 1st time offenders that took a plea bargain to be further investigated by appropriate jurisdictions and given a lie detectors to insure justice and the possibility of innocence. Our judicial system is designed to boost the careers of lawyers, prosecutors and judges by covering up their mistakes and allowing innocent citizens to suffer instead of upholding justice.
