On Friday, February 10, 2017, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Pancho Monroy, a native of El Salvador, at the Piggly Wiggly store in Apalachicola, FL which he helps manage. Monroy is married and the father of two children, both U.S. citizens. He is hard-working and a beloved member of the community, who has lived in Apalachicola for more than twenty years. He is currently being detained at a facility in a nearby county. We ask Senator Bill Nelson and ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan to do everything in their power to secure Pancho's release. He is an asset to his community, not a threat.
