To Vladimir Putin, President of Russia,
Your government has imprisoned members of the punk band "Pussy Riot" on charges of Hooliganism. We, the undersigned, ask you to void these charges and free these performers. Freedom of thought and freedom of speech are undeniable human rights.
Why is this important?
Russian punk band Pussy Riot members were found guilty of “hooliganism” by Russian judges for performing an anti-Putin song in a cathedral. They've not been allowed to see friends, family or children, and face up to 7 years in prison. Tell the Russian authorities we don’t stand for this.
Putin could be in power until 2024, tell him that freedom of speech is a basic human right.
