Eliminate "low-information voting". Enable candidates to have a weekly, interactive, 30-60 minute, television spot for the purpose of informing the country what they will do on important issues.
Why is this important?
Americans watch television so let's give the presidential candidates a regular weekly show with online interactive ability for "the people". We can ask questions and/or respond if choices are given. It should start 60 - 90 days before election day. This will enable "the people" 8 -12 opportunities to educate themselves about their presidential choices. It should be free air time for the benefit of the whole country. This can reduce the wasteful mud-slinging and force real commitment on issues.The station with the biggest profits of the year should donate prime time air.
