99Rise Activists marched 480 miles from LA to Sacramento to call attention to the corrupting influence of big money in politics since the Supreme Court decision "Citizens United". Of course, the Main Stream Media is ignoring this story, which is why it is critical that live-streamers be allowed into the Capitol Building to broadcast the dramatic actions that are going on every night. But our government decided that they are not allowed in. That is not right.
We, the undersigned, hereby demand that the Joint Committee on Rules move immediately to guarantee press access (including livestreamers) to those who are working to get this story out to the citizens.
Why is this important?
99Rise Activists marched over 480 miles to build a national movement to overturn the Supreme Court's disastrous decision "Citizens United". It took 37 days and supporters joined them in every city they marched through from LA to Sacramento. Now this amazing group of activists is staging a sit-in inside the Capitol Building to demand the California State Legislature pass all three of the Campaign Finance reform bills in front of them: SB52, SB1272, & AJR1. Please come down any time, day or night, and show your support of these selfless activists who are willing to do whatever it takes to reclaim our democracy from Big Money. Please check their website 99rise.org and facebook page 99rise for more information.
