If initiative, referendum and recall can work at the state level, then why not have the U.S. Congress pass legislation that will enable U.S. voters to use these three measures--initiative, referendum and recall--at the national level as well? Legalize democracy in the U.S.--now!
Why is this important?
My reasons for doing so should be self-evident. We common people need to wrest control of the Federal government from the hands of the one per cent wealthy on Wall Street and in the Pentagon who are hell-bent on turning the U.S. into a plutocratic oligarchy--something akin to Western Europe during the age of feudalism. We common people need and demand nothing less than full and pure democracy as classical Athens, Greece invented it.
