Fund our public lands!
Our public lands need more funding if we want quality conservation!
Why is this important?
I am 15 years old. I care about the future of our planet, as it is our future.
Public lands preserve nature for the future, preserve the past, and provide social, economic, and spiritual benefits today.
But our public lands are underfunded, meaning that there isn’t enough staff or money to protect them. Between 2011 and 2017 the National Park Service lost 11 percent of its staff while receiving 19 percent more visitors.
With better funding, we could care properly for our National Parks, National Monuments, and National Forests.
