Furlough/Fire Congress
This petition is in response to Congress not passing or approving the budget. It is totally ridiculous that Congress thinks it is okay to let the government shut down just to try and prohibit millions of Americans from receiving healthcare benefits.
Since Congress thinks so little of the American people that saw them as capable of handling the country's business, and thought they would put the country's best interest ahead of their political interest, we should treat them with the same regard.
The people should speak by calling for Congress to work for free for the next year, let them purchase their own healthcare benefits, and set up their retirement plans to match that of the average American.

3. They should not get so many vacations.
Treat them like the average American and see how many will want the job after these changes.

Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because Congress is handling America's business recklessly. Congress is not managing the budget in an effort to keep all Americans working and progressing during these tough times.
