Protect our beautiful Gem county's quality of life from the collateral damage of oil, gas drilling and fracking. Protect the health and welfare of our families, friends, neighbors, our livelihoods, and our way of life.
Why is this important?
Our beautiful county is being targeted by the oil and gas industry for one of their hit and run incidents. Drill'em and Build'em! Loud, noisy drilling rigs can be placed in our fragile riparian areas. Drilling can threaten our drinking water. We are threatened with noisy 24/7 compression plants, pipelines through pastures and wetlands favored by hunters, wild lands, and river ways. We need clean healthy air to breath and clean, safe water to drink. We need to insure there will be no fracking to poison our water sources. Time to act is very short. Strong ordinances need to be in place before drilling begins.
