Congress should enact legislation declaring that corporations are not people and do not merit individual constitutional rights, such as freedom of speech. Corporate contributions to political campaigns should be limited by the McCain-Feingold Campaign Financing Law.
Why is this important?
The Citizen's United ruling has turned our election system upside down. Now, a few multi-millionaires and corporate interests can determine the outcome of our elections. If we do not put a stop to this, our glorious experiment in democracy is dead.
