Governor Scott declared a public health emergency for the Zika virus, there have been zero deaths from the Zika virus. The heroin/opioid epidemic is killing thousands of people in Florida. 100% of the citizens of Florida are effected by this epidemic. We as a state must take a proactive position to stop all the deaths.
Why is this important?
There has been a 2803% increase in the number of opioid related bookings in Palm Beach County alone since 2011. The numbers are probably even more significant in Broward and Miami Dade & Pinellas Counties.
