We call upon government officials to enact immediate legislation to remove all money from political campaigns and contests. Money, rich donors, and conglomerates must no longer be allowed to steal elections from the will of the people. Restrict campaigns to collections of signatures, public debates, and actual voting. Stop wasting precious money on trying to rig our elections with super PACs and stupid commercials.
Why is this important?
Our elected officials continue to fail to represent people, catering instead to special interests, lobbyists, corporations, and political machines. It is time to take back our government by taking money out of the equation. The richest billionaires and conglomerates should not run our government; leaders should represent the PEOPLE.
