90 minutes a day of in person learning is insufficient. PVUSD is failing our children

The time is now to get our kids back into the classroom full time

Why is this important?

It has been an entire year since our kids have been in the classroom. Now that PVUSD is bringing them back, there is no reason for them to be going for 90 minutes every day.... totaling 6 hours a week, when they could currently be in school for 6 hours a day. Kids are falling behind academically and mental health cases in young kids are skyrocketing. Our kids continue to be forced to learn through a computer when there are guidelines allowing them to safely be back in the classroom now. I love the fact that there are options for those families who need to continue with distance learning but PVUSD needs to implement options for those families who's children need to be learning in a classroom environment instead of on the computer. There have been thousands of schools who have successfully had their children return to school full time across the country, and even within our own Santa Cruz County. If our kids can attend the boardwalk and ride an amusement park ride, they can be back in school. It's time for PVUSD to bring our kids back full time.

In addition to signing this petition, please contact our superintendent and school board and demand that our kids have the option to go back to school.
