Getting Deep Money Out Of Politics

Campaign contributions by the most wealthy are electing politicians who are beholden to carry out the wishes of those wealthy individuals at the expense of the true interests of their constituents. This election financing limits our candidates to those who are willing to become lobbyists for wealthy interests and making it near impossible for candidates with other voices to enter the debate. If there were true campaign finance reform and limitations, the majority of Americans would be better served.

Why is this important?

I have heard lectures on the subject and it makes sense to me to start with campaign finance reform to begin to elect people who are there to serve the people, not the special interests.
