Due to high demand, the Gilbert Regional Park pickleball courts have been highly used in the last year. During the week, (and especially evenings), the courts are packed and many players are waiting for an opportunity to get on a court. This has led to where the lights go out at 10pm and not only are players in the middle of playing games, but there are a good 50 or more players still there desiring to play longer. We would like to ask the time to be extended to midnight.
Why is this important?
The sport of pickleball has become more and more popular over the last year. There are many excited to get exercise while enjoying the fun sport. Due to work schedules and such, many players aren't able to make it to the courts earlier. They would like to play later and enjoy the benefits of being physically active.
