Give Kenneth Scott his good time back

I am trying to fight the severe injustice of him being imprisoned for an additional year despite him being found not guilty in state court. The fact that the Illinois Dept of Corrections are trying to penalize him and add an extra year to his sentence is ridiculous.

This all started while Kenneth was at Big Muddy River Correctional Center in Illinois. A man by the name of Gerald Donaldson, a white supremacist and a convicted predatory pedophile had threatened Kenneth with a pencil. (Threats are taken very seriously inside of prison walls.) Donaldson was persistent and showed no signs of backing down, despite Kenneth telling him several times that he was not interested in getting into any type of conflict with him.

Donaldson pushed and pushed the issue until Kenneth had no option but to forcibly move Donaldson away from him to protect himself. As a result, Donaldson fell to the ground, hit his head and subsequently died from his injuries.

An investigation was opened, a standard procedure under the circumstances and Kenneth was charged with two counts of 1st degree murder, a charge that was later dropped due to the lead investigator lying under oath. Kenneth was then charged with involuntary manslaughter and was later found not guilty in state court.

How can the Illinois Dept of Corrections justify punishing Kenneth for a crime he has been found not guilty of? They have no grounds to do so and that is where you come in. If my voice isn't loud enough, I know yours is. Please sign the petition so that Kenneth can go home when his true sentence is vacated. Make your voice heard and demand that the Illinois Dept of Corrections give him back his good time.

Why is this important?

The Illinois Dept of Corrections added a year to Kenneth's sentence even though he was found not guilty in state court.
