Sally Ride was the first woman in space. She was also the fist LGBT woman in space. Give this national hero's family full rights and dignity.
Why is this important?
It seems that with as many people know that Sally Ride was the first woman in space, few people realized that she was also the first LGBT woman in space. She and her partner were together for 27 years. Since she is a national hero and a personal hero to soo many, I'm petitioning that her partner be given full rights.
