The fact that the general public was not consulted before our food supply was tampered with is appalling. We were then lied to regarding prop 37 (labeling GE products). Now a GENETICALLY MODIFIED salmon has been passed for public consumption with a pig waiting to be 'finished' and passed.
FACT: There has never been a public food safety study done on a single GMO.
FACT: GMO's have been linked to: reproductive problems, immune system problems, accelerated aging, gastrointestinal disorders, dysfunction of insulin regulation and organ damage.
FACT: Nothing will ever be more nutritious than food in its whole un-modified state.
GMO's are completely unnecessary. they do not benefit the poor, the hungry or the small family farmers. Due to GMO's toxic nature, they will never benefit anything but big biotech's pockets at the public's expense- unacceptable.
In addition to mandatory labeling, at the very LEAST we as the consumers demand a public safety study before anymore of our food supply is poisoned.
PERIOD.
Why is this important?
First we had GMO grains and vegetables snuck into our food supply, then salmon... now pigs!! This has to stop. period.
