Global Emergency Board
We, as a global society have already witnessed scary situations, such as the BP oil crisis and the nuclear power plant in northern Japan, where the nature of the crisis was so overwelming that people in charge were too traumatized to be able to think clearly and in a timely manner that others, who are more impartial could collaborate their thinking to suggest ways of responding better than what we have seen so far.
Why is this important?
To create a global board of scientists, engineers and environmentalists who have the aptitude to be able to respond to disasters that affect the planet and require immediate intelligent response. This board would have the power to oversee and supercede the authority of the corporations or govt agencies involved, perhaps through the UN.
