Foods that contain GMOs should be clearly labeled as such so that consumers can make educated purchases. The consumer has the right to know what the food he/she is purchasing contains and the manufacturer's of those foods need to be required to be transparent with their labeling practices.
Why is this important?
I believe that the health epidemics that our country is facing are related to and influenced by the contents and nutritional value of our foods. It is the right of the consumer to know the contents of the foods he/she consumes and the responsibility of the companies that manufacture those foods to communicate those contents through transparent labeling of the products they sell.
