Restaurants, bars, and other Pensacola Beach businesses directly depend upon visitors choosing to come to our beautiful beaches. Several have already taken the step of getting rid of plastic straws, but more needs to be done to keep our beaches trash-free. Single-use plastic and foam containers are a major part of what volunteers like myself and others pick up at our regular beach clean ups. It would be a great thing to have the businesses here who depend on our beaches being an attractive destination step up and voluntarily help keep our beaches clean!
Why is this important?
NOBODY comes here to see trash on the beach, and I seriously doubt that any locals like seeing it either. We can do better!
