Governor Walker, we are standing up to protect basic human dignity and the rights of people to be with their loved ones in a time of need.
We refuse to go along with your decision to stop defending the 2009 law that allowed same-sex couples this most basic of privileges.
Your decision is an affront to common decency and compassion, and we look forward to you finding that in your heart and deciding to let the defense of this basic act move forward.
Why is this important?
Scott Walker continues his assault on the rights of Wisconsinites. Now he's targeting the rights of same-sex couples to have the most basic and human of experiences - the ability to visit a loved one in the hospital. Let him know that hatred is not okay.
