Why is this important?
Whether you have a personal experience with gun violence or not, each of us is impacted by the “Shoot First/ Stand Your Ground” Laws. No longer are we perceived as our own Neighbors, Friends, or Travelers. These laws are uniquely designed to turn every Man, Woman and Child into “Prey”. While this law clearly puts lives at risk, it also endangers our very concept of how we perceive each other. Reject the notion that your neighbor is a ‘Thug’. Reject the language that is being imposed upon us as a Society. Stand Up Against “Stand Your Ground”.
