GOV. PERRY GET A CLUE!

RECENTLY I HAD TO GET AN ISSUE FIXED ON MY DRIVERS LICENSE. I AM 60 YEARS OLD, TERMINALLY ILL, AND DIABETIC. I ARRIVED AT THE DPS AT 9:00 am ON A TUESDAY. THE LINE WAS LONG. THERE WAS ONE PERSON AT THE INFO BOOTH AND FOUR WINDOWS OPEN. PEOPLE WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE STAFF. CRIES OF OPEN THE OTHER WINDOWS WENT UP ALONG WITH SCREAMING CHILDREN AND ANGRY FOLKS WHO TOOK TIME OUT OF WORK. AT 12.45 pm I WAS THIRD IN LINE. WHAT TO DO, FAINT & LOSE MY PLACE IN LINE? MY BLOOD SUGAR BEGAN TO TANK. I FELT FAINT, SWEATY AND KNEW I HAD TO GET SOME SUGAR FAST. I WENT UP TO THE INFO BOOTH AND ASKED IF I GOULD BUY A SODA SOMEWHERE.. A SUPERVISOR FROM THE BACK LED ME THROUGH THE BOWELS OF THE DPS TO THE BREAK ROOM, WHICH WAS VACANT. I BOUGHT A SODA AND FELT BETTER. I ASKED WHY THEY DIDN'T STAFF MORE WINDOWS AND SHE STATED THE THE GOV. HAD "DISMISSED'' HALF OF THE STAFF AT ALL DPS OFFICES I ASKED IF IT WAS LIKE THIS EVERY DAY. SHE REPLIED YES AND AT ALL THREE OFFICES AROUND AUSTIN. I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY "LAZY GOVT. EMPLOIYEES SLACKING AROUND" QUITE THE OPPOSITE. EVERYONE WAS WORKING HARD TO SERVE CUSTOMERS AS BEST THEY COULD. THEY DID'T COMPLAIN, THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO. I GOT BACK IN LIKE, TOOK CARE OF MY BUSINESS, AND LEFTJUST IN TIME TO MAKE A 1:15 DOCTORS APT. THAT IS MY PERSONAL STORY. I AM MAKING A POSTER AND SITTING IN FRONT OF THE CAPITAL FOR A DAY OR 2 WITH A PETITION FOR PEOPLE TO SIGN. I WOULD SURE LIKE SOME ADDITIONAL SIGNATURES/STORIES FROM THOSE HAVING SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. THIS IS UNDOUBEDTLY ANOTHER ATTEMPT AT FRUSTRATING PEOPLE AND ADVANCING A VERY REPUBLICAN AGENDA

Why is this important?

NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT 4.5 HOURS AT THE TEXAS DEPT. OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR A ROUTINE DRIVERS LICENSE ISSUE. YOUR RECENT DISMISSAL OF 50% THE ENTIRE DPS STAFF HAS RESULTED IN LONG LINES, ANGRY PEOPLE AND FRUSTRATED STAFF. .
