The preventable death of 5-year old AJ Freund at the hands of ILDCFS deserves a full and public hearing. Additionally, the preventable death of a child in Decatur in March 2019 and the preventable death of a child in Joliet in 2018 need an exhaustive investigation.
Why is this important?
As a society, we have a responsibility to protect our children. To do this we pay taxes to ensure safeguards are in place at a state level. Those safeguards are failing and children are dying. Illinois deserves an explanation and our children deserve our advocacy.
