Cut government salaries by 10% to get our economy kick started and faith back into our elected officials. Have them prove to us that they are really in politics to help people and not to line their pockets with profits.
If we don't get this done the government will keep cutting into social programs until there is nothing left to cut but their own salaries, so lets start there first.
Why is this important?
Let's get all elected officials from the county level all the way up to the president to cut their salaries by 10% across the board. Let's get them to stop cutting into social programs just to line their pockets with another pay raise. This 10% cut would also have to affect even their little hidden benefits.
If we were to get this done it would definitely kick start the economy, making the American people believe again in our government.
