There needs to be a law that starting on Day 1 of a government shutdown or sequester, Congress should not be paid when working-class Americans get furloughed.
Why is this important?
The working class always has to suffer when Congress is too selfish to compromise over government spending.
They work for US! When they allow a government shutdown, or make any other decision causing hardworking Americans to suffer, they too should suffer and not get paid.
