We, the undersigned, request Governor Branstad, the Iowa House of Representatives and the State Senate to fully participate in Medicaid expansion thus allowing low income, uninsured Iowans the opportunity to protect their health, reduce uncompensated care costs and draw down federal dollars that will fund 100% of the program costs through 2016 and no less than 90% from 2020 and beyond.
Why is this important?
The expansion of Medicaid will provide health insurance for those Iowans who need it most, while saving money and improving care for all of our citizens.
