Stop the massive killing of birds and bats by wind turbines indiscriminately placed in areas that are on main migratory paths. If this continues, it will cause mass extinctions of rare and endangered birds and bats. Our earth's delicate ecosystem will be gravely compromised forever. Thank you,
Why is this important?
I live in Weldon, California. The North Sky River /Jawbone Wind Energy Project has started construction, though it was fast tracked through the EIR process. The project is being built on a main migratory path that goes through Kelso Valley on the way to the Audubon Preserve at the end of the road, a critical stopping point for migratory birds. This will be remembered as an environmental catastrophe if allowed to continue.
