The Kansas traditional historic Conscience represents values that importantly helped shape the present day creed of our Nation. By passing last year's budget bill (Senate Substitute House Bill 2117), Governor Brownback and his extremist ideological, legislative cohorts have shown a maniacal hatred of government, and have destructively used the state of Kansas and its people as a legislative pilot test for an ambitious, extreme, ideological takeover of historic, traditional, conservative Kansas values. Their budget will cause the Kansas poor and middle class to pay a heavier tax burden that will cause widespread poverty, low wage jobs, high property taxes, poorly educated children, outmigration, and rural depopulation, foreign land and farm ownership, lobbyist-funded legislators, and chronic mistreatment of the disabled.
