Please tell Governor Cuomo to sign NYS Bill S 738-2013 into law so that children who live a lesser distance than two miles from school and have a parent or guardian with a physically limiting impairment can be considered for school bus transportation by their school district. Please tell Governor Cuomo to ensure the safety of these children.
Why is this important?
NYS Bill S 738, which has been reintroduced in the Senate this legislative session, "allows board of education to provide transportation to school for a child living a lesser distance than two miles from school if the parent or guardian of the child has a physically limiting impairment and is unable to accompany the child to and from school." We must ensure the safety of all children.
