Governor Jerry Brown: Support the Calfornia Values Act

Governor Jerry Brown, We, the People, of the state of California strongly urge you stand with all Californians and sign SB 54 California Values Act when it reaches your desk. We must stand for our values of welcoming immigrants into our communities, and stop ICE from storming our schools, court houses, hospitals, and churches to keep the people of California safe. We’ve seen DACA young adults sent back to their “home” countries, where many don’t even know the language or customs. Furthermore, they may not know a soul and be foreigners in their so-called “home" countries. We’ve seen a woman taken out of a hospital in Texas awaiting surgery for a brain tumor shackled and removed from the hospital and deported. We’ve seen a restaurant owner who is well loved by his community detained and deported. This is inhumane and cruel.
