Governor Keep our ACA money in Iowa!

There is zero logic in refusing to use our own federal tax dollars targeted for the enhancement of Medicaid in Iowa. We currently have a relationship with the federal Medicaid program and are excepting some funds now. There is no sound logic in refusing to except the 100% funding of Medicaid enhancement in Iowa. The current program of Iowa care is not working for the people in Iowa. There are people unable to drive or have zero transportation. How are they to get themselves to Iowa City or the State Capital for treatment? Those are the only options for Iowa Care recipients. Medicaid enhancement would allow those same people to visit local healthcare facilities in addition to covering mental health and drug prescriptions. So again there is no sound logic in refusing to accept our own federal tax dollars targeted to the enhancement of Medicaid. We can only assume that if you refuse to accept the funding you are sanctioning the use of Iowa's tax dollars to be used in the smarter more fiscally conservative states that are accepting the Medicaid enhancement funds. Not accepting our own federal dollars is not logical. We will remember how logical or illogical your votes are on this issue when we go to cast our votes in the next election.
