Governor McCrory, Pick Up Your Phone!

Governor McCrory,

As a North Carolina resident, I have the right to call your office and be heard.

But by not accepting voicemail after hours, you are closing your door to millions of North Carolinians like me who work all day but still want the opportunity to call and petition our governor on issues important to us.

Please change the way the capitol switchboard operates to allow the people you serve to do something as simple and routine as leave you a voice message after hours.

Thank you.

Why is this important?

Governor Pat McCrory doesn't want to hear from you. At least that's what he's showing to North Carolina residents.

The main switchboard phone line to the Governor's office is (919) 733-5811. This line theoretically is for constituents to call about issues that impact them. The problem is that the line doesn't accept voicemails after 6:00 nor does it direct to another constituent services line.

Governor McCrory needs to make his office accessible to all North Carolinians. Having a functional phone line for constituents to call will be a huge step in the right direction.
