Governor McCrory:Help the Disabled Get the Benefits They Have Paid For
Help our legitimately disabled citizens get the benefits they need without having to go years with no possible means of supporting themselves or their families.
Why is this important?
My fiancé has been gainfully employed since he was 18 years old, has four children to support, and was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which hit him out of nowhere and has left him unable to work in his previous field or any other as he has no energy, shakes horribly, cannot drive, write or walk unassisted most of the time. Despite all of this Disability has consistently denied him disability benefits. We are finally at the point that he gets a determination hearing in front of a judge, but disability has 414 days to schedule the hearing, which leaves us in a horrible bind for an additional year.
