Governor Scott and Our Elected Officials: Stop Standing in the Way of Women's Reproductive Rights!
Voters like me deserve representation that reflects our values and priorities. We need elected leaders who will deliver on issues like affordable and accessible health care including access to the full range of reproductive health care services, affordable child care, housing, fair wages and jobs with fair workplace policies for women.
However, not only have Governor Rick Scott and State Representatives Bob Cortes and Dana Young refused to expand Medicaid, they voted for HB 1411, legislation that limits access to affordable and accessible healthcare for thousands of Floridians. Women can’t depend on Healthcare Hypocrites like Governor Scott and elected officials to respect women’s decisions about their own health and family planning.
Instead of advancing policies in the Florida Legislature that would help families make ends meet and improve Floridians lives, they prioritized their own anti-woman agenda and left women - especially women of color and poor women without access to vital health services.
It’s time for elected leaders to stop standing in the way of women and families by restricting reproductive rights and ignoring our priorities.
Governor Scott and the Florida Legislature: Stop being Healthcare Hypocrites and respect women’s reproductive rights!
Thanks for taking action today.

Why is this important?
Set to go into law on July 1, HB 1411 places medically unnecessary restrictions on abortion and will strip away access for thousands of women in Florida from being able to access preventative family planning services like birth control, STD tests, and cancer screenings.
This bill will have a profoundly negative impact on all Floridians, but especially those who already face systematic barriers to care, such as poor women and women of color who live in areas of the state where there is already limited access to reproductive healthcare.
Access to healthcare, resources, and education should not be dependant on where you live or your socioeconomic status. All women -no matter where they live- must have access to the sex education and healthcare needed to stay healthy and decide for themselves how to prevent pregnancy, terminate an unwanted pregnancy, or carry a pregnancy to term.
