Governor Snyder: Stop Promoting Fear

With the recent attack in Paris, Governor Rick Snyder (R-MI) has joined with other Republican governors and presidential candidates to promote fear of Syrian refugees. The Governor has stated he is putting a hold on accepting more refugees in Michigan until security screening can be established. Not only has there been a year or two long process of screening of refugees, but Governor Snyder may not even have the right to do this (see Refugee Act of 1980). With news breaking that the Syrian passport found at the site of the attack was either stolen or fake combined with the attackers not originating in Syria, it's time for Governor Snyder to take a stand against Republican fear mongering and resume accepting refugees.
